There are still numerous issues remaining in the North Chagrin Reservation after this month’s storms. The park staff are working on cleaning up and assessing any damage.  The park staff must be given the time and space to remove the fall trees and debris from the park. The safety of our hikers is always our major concern.

All official CHC hikes in the North Chagrin Reservation continue to be held at their new locations for the remainder of  the month of August.  All Leisure Hikes are moved to the Lake County Metroparks, Pete’s Pond Preserve at 2255 Rockefeller Road.  All other Moderate/Energetic hikes are being relocated to Chapin Forest, Quarry Shelter PL at 9930 Chillicothe Road (SR 306).

You will be notified by an eblast if any changes to this directive have been made. We are in contact with the Cleveland Metroparks and will keep you updated as to the September hiking schedule.  Thank you all for your cooperation and understanding as we deal with this emergency situation in the North Chagrin Reservation.
