Camp Onwego Fall Cleanup up is this Saturday, November 9th, 9am to 12:30pm. It’s looking like we’ll have a nice, crisp fall morning to get the camp cleaned up before winter. Coffee, donuts and bagels will be provided to keep your energy levels up.

Tools & machine request:

I’ll have a couple back pack style leaf blowers for clearing the grounds but if you want to bring a blower you feel more comfortable using it would be helpful. I’ll have 50:1 fuel available and extra oil if you have a machine that needs a richer mix.

The grass needs one last cutting but the lawn tractor is being difficult again. We have a walk behind mower which can do the job but it would be very helpful if one or more members could bring a mower from home. Having a few mowers will greatly reduce the amount of time it will take to cut all the grass. Some of it has gotten quite high since the tractor conked out so it’s going to be a battle. Our gas powered mower can handle the really high stuff so even if you only have an electric mower there are shorter areas it can be used to cut.

We could also use a small chain saw for some tree clearing on the Hinckley Trail. There are a few small trees down on that trail that I haven’t had time to get to if you’re so inclined.
