The State Route 82 bridge over the Cuyahoga Valley has planned closures for repairs.  The original repair project was estimated to be completed in July of 2026.

The entire bridge must be closed beginning October 14th through mid-November due to the need for immediate emergency repairs.  A portion of the towpath trail under the bridge is also closed through mid-November due to these repairs.  

The detour for SR 82 West traffic will be to SR 8 south, to I-271 South, to I-77 North , back to SR 82.  The detour for SR 82 East traffic will be I-77 south, to I271 North, to SR 8 North back to SR 82.  Detour signs will be posted.  

Hikers heading to the Brecksville Reservation, Station Road Bridge area, and Sagamore Hills should allow themselves extra time in order to arrive at the hike locations in a timely manner.
