Member Annual Dues for the Next Renewal Year are Due On or Before December 31
Memberships are on a calendar-year basis. Renewal dues are collected every year between October 1 and December 31. Reminders appear in the October, November and December Newsteps, available in the Member-only pages. The deadline for 2026 dues is December 31, 2025. Please do not send your 2026 renewal dues until October 1, 2025.
Renewing members have two choices for paying their dues:
1. Pay online (via credit card) from this Members only page. OR
2. Mail a check or money order payable to Cleveland Hiking Club to:
- Between Oct 1 and Feb 28: Kathy Kristof, 1276 Mathews Ave, Lakewood, OH 44107. Include $10 late fee for payments after Dec 31.
- Between Mar 1 and Dec 31 (late payments for current year renewals and reinstatements): Roni Pavia, 927 Arboretum Cir, Sagamore Hills, OH 44067
Late payments (postmarked between January 1 and December 31 of the renewal year) are subject to a $10.00 late fee. Please include the late fee amount in your check or money order total. Online payments will automatically include the late fee when applicable.
Memberships that lapse for one or more years can be reinstated upon completion of a reinstatement application and payment of reinstatement fee (in addition to annual dues). See Schedule of Fees and Dues, below. It is not necessary to complete the six hikes again. See Reinstating your Membership and follow the instructions on the form regarding submission of the form and payments.
Active or Associate Membership. Individuals who reside within 75 miles of Cleveland, Ohio, are required to be Active members of CHC. Individuals who reside over 75 miles from Cleveland, Ohio, may elect to become Associate members. Associate members are not eligible to vote or hold office, but have all other rights and privileges of membership. Associate membership must be requested in writing (email or letter) sent to the membership committee (chcmemberchair@gmail.com) or a member of the board.

Initial dues for new Members who first join on or after September 1 are reduced by 50%.
