On Sunday, May 24, 2026, there will be a baseball hike in Willoughby and Eastlake at 10:30 am (five-mile hike with a three-mile option). The hike will begin at the parking lot of Pierogi Palace at 36495 Vine Street in Willoughby. This is easily accessible from Route 2. The hike will return to the parking lot for three-mile hikers and will continue to Classic Park in Eastlake for five-mile hikers, where we can attend the 1:00 pm baseball game. For those who don’t want to go to the game, it’s a three-block walk back to the parking lot. While Pierogi Palace is closed on Sundays, there are a few other restaurants nearby where one can get a quick lunch, or people can get food in the stadium.

Many baseball fans find minor league games to be delightful, as the players are talented and skilled, the prices are far lower than major league games, and all of the seats have excellent sight lines. A block of discounted tickets will be reserved for us; a link to order them will be provided in an eblast.

A car will be left in the Captains parking lot, where people can drop off poles, backpacks, or other hiking equipment (not valuables as the car will not be locked), and then pick them up after the game.
